Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold, Diamond and Garnet Gypsy Ring, 1905

A beautiful antique, Edwardian era gypsy ring in solid 9ct gold which has a subtle 'rosey' tone, with two garnets and a nice sized star set diamond. 

Measurements:
UK ring size N 1/2. US size 6.75.
Width at front - 9mm
Garnets approx - 6mm x 4.5mm
Diamond approx - 3.7mm (approx .20 carats)

Weight: 4.5g

Hallmarks: The makers mark is worn. The rest reads - '9', '375', Birmingham, 'f' for 1905. 

Condition Report

Overall the ring looks really lovely. It has been professionally resized in the past which is visible from the inside of the band. On the outside the sizing lines are barely noticeable.

As is common with old garnets, there is some wear to the facet edges under magnification. There is one very small spot of wear which is just visible by eye, but it does not detract from the overall look of the ring. 

The diamond is bright and sparkling with no eye visible inclusions. Under magnification a couple of small carbon spots can be seen.
